What weighs you down

We have just gone to the other side of the moon. It is now waning. The energies are going downwards and this means that the coming two weeks are a perfect time to release.

Most people who are overweight hold in their bodies some sort of trauma or negative emotions. A lot of them are experts at bottling things up. No matter how long ago things happened, if you bottled them up, and even if you don't think about them consciously, the issues will weigh you down.

Today, as the first day of the waning moon, I invite you to do the following: whatever it is you hold grudges on, or feel guilty, or are still in pain about, write it on a piece of paper. If it's a conversation you wish you had had with someone, write it as a conversation. If you are able to contact that person, then perhaps you could do so to clear the air. It's up to you to decide if they might, or not, as the case maybe, be able to hear what you have to say. If you feel they have not grown enough from the situation to be able to engage with you in the healing process, then just do the healing on your own. There is no point at picking at old scabs.

Even if the other person is not ready or is stuck in her/his old ways, you can do a lot to help yourself and to move forward. Write a letter to them and take it all out. When you are finished, burn it. After that, have a nice warm bath with sea salt or perhaps go for a walk in nature. 

Letting go of the past and of hurt is the best gift you can give yourself. And, a surprising benefit of doing so is that you will find it a lot easier to slim.
