Reverse psychology

When I am told I can't have something, there are good chances that I am going to start wanting that something more than when I thought I could have it. A "don't" can have much more of an attractive power than a "do" and that is all down to our Monkey Mind... or reverse psychology.

People on a slimming journey have a great adversary to contend with: their Monkey Mind or to say it another way, the conflict in them between their conscious mind and their subconscious. It is the conflict between the two that will lead to sabotage all efforts to slim. Whilst the conscious mind might want something very dearly, the Monkey will act out. If the conscious mind says: "Away with the binging" the Monkey will make sure that you will have one more binge before you go and after you have had it, will argue that since you had one and you ruined it, you might as well have a second one and another one, etc. There will always be a reason to wait, procrastinate, have that one piece of chocolate etc.

There are two ways to defeat the Monkey. One is to declare that nothing is forbidden and that you are going to have everything in moderation. Whilst this is completely in line with the philosophy of the Journey of the Slim Soul, it can work but there is no guarantee. The Second, which works without a fail is to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to clear the conflict between the two opposite desires, the electrical imbalance. Below is a video that I hope will help you to clear your lack of self love which I have recorded to help you start on your own journey. Enjoy!
